Selissias by Caelicorn Selissias by Caelicorn
My fairy magician character! This began when I was discussing Blizzard armour designs with a friend. We both have priest characters in WoW and dislike the T10 helm idea. She called it something like...terrible ren-faire hat. So I was wondering if I could design a similar helm and actually draw it so that I like the shape.

You can see a larger version and a different sketch at cgtalk: [link] don't forget to fav me over there, if you feel so inclined mwahaha...!

Edit: Holy wow! How did this picture get so many views? <3<3 I guess that means I must draw more of him in the future ;-)

Just a quick TLDR: I have a popular tumblr for Magic the Gathering and I make my own cards. I would like to use your art and will give you proper credit and a shout-out. If you don't want me using your art please let me know and I won't.

Contact my tumblr: MagictheGatheringDailyCard

FYI this is a terrible and rude way to ask permission. You don't ask, then require an artist to notify YOU with a rejection. That actively puts you in breach of copyright in the interim, btw.

You need to reword this, or at least wait permission first. If I find you in breach of copyright, I can get your website closed down through cease and desist legal notification to the provider, and you probably don't want that.

I don't mean to bug you, especially after my previous post which I have been going around and leaving much nicer posts and changed how I go about doing it, but I really would like to know if I can use it or not. Normally I would just drop it but he was the main character of the story line and I need to know if I need to replace him and it is holding the whole process back. Once again, sorry to bother you, buut you had/have one of the most important cards in the set and a response even as simple as 'no' would be of great help.

Thanks again for your time,

I'm really sorry man, I didn't mean for it to come across this way. I'll rework the way it's written and include that I won't post the cards until I get permission for the art. I only just joined Deviant Art and haven't done much in the field of interacting with artist, and I wasn't fully aware of how the copyrighting worked, although I should have been more careful and respectful. Once, again I'm really sorry that I came across that way.

With that said, I would still love to use this picture. It perfectly fits what I was looking for. I can use the name Selissias or give him a new one, whichever you prefer. I won't post anything however until you give me the go ahead (if you give me the go ahead). I completely understand why you wouldn't want me using it and I'll respect your decision, whatever it may be.

Thanks for taking the time to respond and my deepest apologies for my previous message.   ~Jabin

effing awesome!
Wow... what a beautiful piece!  As a Warcrafter myself (hunter class), I'd love something like this for my Priestess.  Nudge Blizzard with it.. I would.

Haha I'd love gear like this for a priest...I dont think Blizz would go for the semi plate look though >.<

They really need to change up their robe bases...there's only so much they can change a straight up skirt with skins...Like they should add some robes with slits and other layers!

I'm designing a Magic: The Gathering card and i think this would be the perfect art for the card. Would you mind if i used it? (of course i would not forget to put your name as the artist in the card)
